Santa Barbara Castle is situated in the centre of Alicante, Spain on top of ‘Benacantil’ which is a 166m rocky mountain and it overlooks the sea. This is a strategic point as from there you can see Alicante bay and surrounding cities.

A part of the mountain resembles a face and it is given the name of ‘the Muslim face’ which is an symbol of the city.
